Ahh, a game where Philadelphia scores a run.  After losing 3 straight games to the New York Mets, and not being able to score a run in those games, the Phillies pulled out a 3-2 win over another team from the division, the Marlins.  Kyle Kendrick went a solid six. Then the Phils strong pen finished the game out.

Lineup Proposal

Charlie Manuel has used the pretty much the same lineup for most of this big run (2008-present).  Sure here and there injuries happen and guys have off days, but the lineup is generally the same.  I think maybe it's time for a change.

Phillies accused of cheating

The MLB has warned the Phillies for using a set of binoculars and peeking at the Rockies signs.  The MLB said it was a presentation of poor sportsmanship and they don't want to see it again.  Seriously I don't think the bullpen coach was looking at there signs.  He probably didn't have a good view of the game so took out some binoculars to zoom in.  Also if you were to look at signs wouldn't you have a member from the dugout look, which is closer and would be harder to spot?

Behind another outstanding Roy Halladay performance the Phillies came away with a win to take the series.  Jayson Werth cracked a three run homer to put the Phillies ahead in the first.  This lead would never diminish. Raul Ibanez, Carlos Ruiz, and Ryan Howard tacked on insurance runs throughout the game.

The fans were going crazy when the Phillies just tore apart Johan Santana.  Johan melted down during a classic Jamie Moyer at bat.  The Phillies won 11-5 after being down 5-2 at one point and having only two hits up to then, which were home runs by Ryan Howard and Placido Polanco

Phillies Destroy Mets

A day after being nearly shutout, Doc Halladay and the crew took the Mets down.  In their 10-0 win Doc pitched his second shutout of the season.  Halladay is the leader in complete games over the last five seasons.  You know what is just as impressive is the Phillies were able to put up 6 runs against what was the hottest pitcher in the league.  Mike Pelfrey had a 0.69 ERA coming into Saturday.  Now it's at 2.40.
