Moyer pitched an amazing two hit complete game shutout today in the Phillies 7-0 win over Atlanta. Jayson Werth and Raul Ibanez got the offense going. Both had big rbi days.
Moyer was on fire ever since the game started. Moyer pitched seven consectutive 1-2-3 innings. In these 7 he only let up one single by Troy Glaus. After Glaus's at bat Matt Diaz grounded into a double play. Moyer was very efficient. He only used 88 pitches to complete the game. Moyer only struck out 5 but got 9 ground balls and 13 pop outs. Jayson Werth has been on a tear. Werth hit a home run in each of the last 2 games. He also recently ended a 27 game streak where he reached base in each game. Werth has raised his average to .359, which leads the team. Werth also leads the team in runs batted in with 24 RBI, hits with 37, and doubles with 16.
