After pitching 6 2/3 scoreless innings against the New York Yankees on Friday Phillies team officials considered Moyer to be the fifth starter. Today Charlie Manuel and Ruben Amaro named him the fifth starter over Kyle Kendrick. Personally I would rather see Kendrick be the 5th starter and I hope he becomes this years JA Happ. Just like Happ he lost the fifth starter race. Happ was placed in the bullpen which is likely where Kendrick will start 2010. Then after Chan Ho Park (the 5th starter) faltered Happ was named 5th starter. If Moyer falters or is not pitching as well as Kendrick he will probably be replaced. The main reason I don't like this move is because of the age difference. Moyer is 47 and Kendrick is in his early 20s. Kendrick needs to get more experience under his belt.

MLB 2k10 Review
Posted by Brandon at 6:05 PM 0 commentsYesterday I got my copy of MLB 2k10 from Walmart. I was really hoping the game would improve from last years version which was a let down to many. The selection menu's were bad. There weren't many fun game modes. However, MLB 2k10 is like a whole new series. The design is very different. It is much more colorful and appealing to the eye. As well the new My Player mode is very fun. It is comparable to the popular Road to the Show mode in MLB the Show. In this video game review I will grade the game on 5 different categories, design, game modes, graphics, selection menus, and achievements.

3/21 Phils lose,Twins win and lose
Posted by Brandon at 4:33 PM 0 commentsToday the Phillies faced the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles game out on top 5-4. Jamie Moyer provided great pitching. In five innings of work he gave up only one run. Moyer would come away with a no decision because when he came out the score was 1-1. The score remained 1-1 until the 8th inning. In the eighth Mike Zagurski ran into some trouble. Unable to complete the inning Mike gave up 3 runs. The Phillies then failed to tie the game even with the success they had hitting. The team hit 5 doubles,2 home runs, and a total of 10 hits. The defense the Phils played was not good at all. This is probably the cause of the loss. The team had a combined 3 errors. Jimmy Rollins had 2 errors and Ozzie Chavez had the other.

YEAR AVG HR RBI
2007 .298 8 49
2008 .273 24 67
2009 .268 36 99
As you can see every stat in what I like the call the big three has gone up in every season he was a member of the Phillies except average. In 2007 he took only 255 at bats compared to 418 in 2008 and 571 in 2009. It's easier to maintain a average in less at bats. His power numbers have been on a rapid increase, I don't see a reason this will change.
