Jimmy Rollins did not play well defensively in todays loss.
The Twins had a big victory and a big loss today, in a way. They resigned MVP Joe Mauer to a 8 year 184 million dollar deal. This guarantees that Mauer will spend the rest of his career as a Twin. Also this may help the Twins save a few bucks. By being able to resign him before the off-season they do not have to out bid large market teams like the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The big loss was Joe Nathan. He will have season ending tommy john surgery. It is unknown who will close for the Twins. There will most likely be a position battle between the relievers in the remaining games of spring training.
The Twins will be without Joe Nathan in 2010.
