Phillies continue to slide to the bottom

No celebration for Moyer tonight.
What's wrong this year?  Nothing is boating well for the Phillies.  The overwhelming amount of injuries, combined with the 1 1/2 month funk the offense is in have earned Philadelphia 3rd place in the NL East.  That may be all the two time NL Champs get.  Nothing is happening.  Everyone is saying, "they'll heat up", "there gonna be back", but who are we kidding.  This team has just lost two key players, Placido Polanco and Chase Utley, the offense hasn't been great, and besides Halladay's and Hamels' recent gems the pitching hasn't been superb.  As we saw tonight, at any one point in the game this team is vulnerable.  Jamie Moyer was cruising through the Braves...

until the 6th, where he committed six runs.  The Braves took the victory 7-5.  I guess Moyer proved why he was left off the all-star team.

Jamie Moyer was off to a bad start. He gave up a home run to second basemen Martin Prado, who will be filling in for Chase Utley at the all star game, in Anaheim.

The next strike came in the 2nd where, Jimmy Rollins tied the ball game on a double, that brought Wilson Valdez home.  Shortly there after Ryan Howard made the next splash.  His dinger (home run) in the 5th gave Philly the lead.  Today Howard proved why he is a all star.  So now the Phillies are up 3-1 and feeling pretty good I bet.  Well, Jamie Moyer let you down, he let us all down.

Martin Prado and Matt Diaz went deep, and Brian McCann cleared the bases on a double.  5.1 innings for Moyer, 7 earned runs.  After, Diaz's home run Danys Baez relieved Moyer.
Prado hit two home runs off Jamie Moyer.  Proving why he is a all star.
Shane Victorino made some noise late.  He hit a home run off Kris Medlen, to shorten Atlanta's lead to 3.  Following up, Ben Francisco knocked in a run.  As the team tried to rally there shots of winning were only blown up.  Former Phil, Billy Wagner shut him down in the ninth.
