Albert Pujols 1B STL
Albert Pujols is no doubt one of the best if not the best player in the league. He combines the ability to maintain a high average and power. He has hit 40+ home runs 5 times. As well, in every season of his 10 year career he has hit over 300.

Prince Fielder 1B MIL
Fielder has made an overwhelming amount of improvement over the last few seasons. In 2007 Fielder had a career year, in which he hit 50 home runs. Fielder has been in the league only 5 full seasons. And yet, he still has over 150 career home runs.

Ryan Howard 1B PHI
Howard was rewarded for his career's achievements when Philly gave him a 125 million dollar contract. Howard has won a sliver slugger, a MVP award, a rookie of the year award, and a player of the year award. O and did I forget the multiple all-star nominations. Howard has amazing power but his more known for his high strikeout totals. So far this season though he has worked on leaving the off speed pitches and taking his fastballs for a ride.

Lance Berkman 1B HOU
Berkman's name has came up on the trade market quite a few times. The old RF is now a power slugging 1B at the end of his glory days. Berkman isn't a all star anymore but he is a quality player.

Derrick Lee 1B CHI
Lee, like Berkman, is not the same player he used to be. The Cubs as a whole aren't the same team. But Lee can still pick it at first base. The 3 time gold glove winner has a .994 career slugging percentage. Lee is 1 shy of 300 home runs. As well he can hit for average. He's a .283 lifetime average.

Adam Dunn 1B WAS
Dunn has loads of power. But, he's one of those strikeout or home run players. Dunn is now a Washington National(the picture has him in a "Natinal Jersey") after playing 8 seasons with Cincinnati. Dunn has had 5 seasons with 40+ home runs and 1 with 38. However, like I said he's a strikeout home run hitter, his lifetime BA is .250.

Adam LaRoche 1B ARI
LaRoche is a solid veteran who can put the bat on the ball. He is a great contact hitter but doesn't have much power. LaRoche has played on 4 ball clubs in his career, plus he played with Atlanta in two stints. In Atlanta, LaRoche had a career year in which he hit 32 home runs. In each of his other years he's hit around 25.

Todd Helton 1B COL
Helton, like Berk and Lee, Helton's play is declining. However, if you want a high average call up Todd Helton. Many thought Helton had a awful year due to his low 15 HR total, but he hit .325. Helton is reliable on defense. He makes the routine plays but isn't a flashy glove.

Ike Davis 1B NYM
Ike Davis has been one of the most impressive rookies in 2010. He hits for contact and for power. As well, he can flash the leather. Expect to see Ike top the league leaders for a long time. This kid isn't going away, like 1 year wonders Edinson Volquez and Daniel Murphy.

Adrian Gonzalez 1B SD
Gonzalez has became an elite first basemen. Last year Gonzalez made his first NL All-Star team. He plays amazing defense. In my opinion, he's the second best defensive NL 1B, behind Albert Pujols. Gonzalez has power, and is not a strikeout home run hitter, like Adam Dunn or Ryan Howard. Last season, Gonzalez hit a career high 40 home runs. That total was 4 above his 2008 tally.

Joey Votto 1B CIN
Votto is a very talented run producer. In the last two years Votto has put up a combined 168 rbis. Votto is a serious run producer. Plus, he can get on for guys like Jay Bruce behind him. Votto has maintained a career .311 batting average. His career on base percentage is .391. Votto knows how to use his bat.

Jeff Clement 1B PIT
The former Mariner was acquired by the Pirates in a deal with Ronny Cedeno for SS Jack Wilson and SP Ian Snell. Clement was then moved to first base full time because Ryan Doumit has the catcher spot tied up. In Seattle he played catcher and first base. Clement has only hit .233 lifetime. I don't think he will develop into much.
Ratings- ovr (66) power (71) contact (67) defense (57)
James Loney 1B LAD
James Loney is a reliable middle of the lineup bat for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He can hit for contact and has a little pop in his bat. Loney is a very agile and quick defender. The first basemen has a career .993 fielding percentage. Loney also played parts of 2006 and 2007 in the outfielder at left and right.
Ratings- ovr (84) power (80) contact (86) defense (86)
Aubrey Huff 1B SFG
Huff has played almost in every city and at every position. In his past few seasons, Huff has settled in at first base. In his 11 year career, Huff has had only 2 seasons with a home run total over 30. Huff isn't much of a high average guy either. He has a lifetime .283 batting average.
Ratings- ovr (80) power (80) contact (82) defense (78)
Troy Glaus 1B ATL
Glaus's career has been long and tainted with injuries. Glaus has settled in at first base after playing third for most of his career. He did not play with St.Louis in 2009 due to injury. Glaus is not in his glory days anymore. Once upon a time, Glaus hit 35+ home runs, 4 times. Glaus can still hit but injuries will limit his availability.
Ratings- ovr (78) power (86) contact (77) defense (78)
Gaby Sanchez 1B FLA
Sanchez hasn't had much of an opportunity at 1B. The Marlins finally allow him to play at 1B most of the time, now that Jorge Cantu is playing at 3B. Sanchez plays great defense but doesn't have much power.
