The Phillies finally pulled off a win against the Giants. However, they have lost there last three series, against the Marlins, Diamondbacks, and now the Giants. The Phillies haven't got good starting pitching performances. Roy Halladay even couldn't pull out a win against Jonathan Sanchez. However, its not all the pitching's fault. The bats have been silenced at times. Also look at the disabled list. Joe Blanton, Brad Lidge, and Jimmy Rollins are all out. Also two players on the current active roster are not 100% (Juan Castro and JC Romero).

Phils Win in Extras!
Posted by Brandon at 3:13 PM
Yesterday the Phillies pulled off a amazing come from behind win to prevent being sweeped by the San Francisco Giants. Jayson Werth delivered the clutch 3 run double in the ninth to tie it up at 4 a piece. Then Brian Schneider helped the Phillies take the lead. He scored on a wild pitch by Giants pitcher Jeremy Affeldt. Ryan Madson blew the lead in the 10th though. Andres Torres singled in Nate Schierholtz. Madson would end up with the win however. The Phillies offense struck back again in the eleventh. Shortstop fill in Wilson Valdez came through in the clutch with a rbi double. And then Valdez scored on a error by left field fill in Andres Torres. Valdez was the fill in for Juan Castro, who was the fill in for Jimmy Rollins. Torres was the fill in for Mark DeRosa who is filling in at second base for the injured Freddy Sanchez. Nelson Figueroa once again delivered a great inning of work. He sealed the deal for Philadelphia.
